If the Dems want to pull parliamentary tricks, they should expect the same. I expect that the Dems will cry foul. They wouldn't if they were smart because people might not be paying close attention but they are paying close enough attention to know that the reconciliation process was being used because they couldn't force cloture. It's a very extreme measure and should never be used in a situation like this. Consequently, when the Republican strategy actually comes in to play, opposition to it based on protesting its using arcane parliamentary procedures won't carry much weight considering that the arcane parliamentary procedure that preceded our arcane parliamentary procedure was their arcane parliamentary procedure, i.e., the reconciliation process. If you don't like what happens in a fight, don't start fights.

I wonder if the MSM will begin the propaganda effort with things like, "recent polls are beginning to suggest a turnaround in public opinion........blahblah." Same old trick of trying to fool all the people for just long enough to influence the election. That's what I'm expecting, but it could be that the days of slavish devotion to O by the press are fading. One hopes. Anytime I see some real fight in our guys it's very satisfying.
