President Obama will dip below 50% in Gallup's daily tracking poll for the first time today.

The organization updates it's numbers at 1PM ET, but they've put out advance word this morning that Obama will dip below the half-way mark.

Obama's current rating stands exactly at 50%, so assuming he drops to only 48% or 49%, the dip would be more symbolic than statistically significant. Nevertheless, it will be a stark reminder that Obama's political cache isn't what it once was.

We'll update with the actual numbers when they're released.

Rasmussen's poll had him below 50 for a while now. And Rasmussen was rated the most accurate pollster according to a study by Fordham University.
